Class 2 Tipper Driver – Day Shift

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers to support ongoing biomass operations at the Port of Tyne.

Location: Port of Tyne 
Cargo: Biomass 
Start Date: Immediate 
Type: Ongoing 
Pay: £14-18 per hour

Job Overview:

You’ll be responsible for transporting biomass shipments from vessels docked at the Port of Tyne up the quay to a nearby storage facility. This involves short-distance tipping runs, repeated throughout the shift, requiring efficiency and awareness of port safety procedures.

Duties Include:

• Operating a Class 2 Tipper Truck to move biomass from dockside to storage

• Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and reporting any defects

• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental protocols, especially within a port environment

• Working closely with the site operations team to ensure timely offloads

• Maintaining cleanliness and care of the vehicle

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence

• Experience with tipper work preferred

• Safety-conscious and reliable

• Flexibility to work shifts as required

• No CPC Required

Shifts:

• 06:00-18:00 (1 hour break).
